What We Do

Empowering children through active learning.

At Lifestars, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. As an Aberdeen charity, we run programmes designed to support children, helping develop essential skills, build confidence, and prepare for the future.

Life Skills Programme.

Building Connections, Skills, and Futures

Our Life Skills Programme is at the heart of what we do. These sessions are designed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, giving children the tools they need to succeed in life. Through fun and engaging activities, we focus on developing child development skills, promoting children’s safety education, and providing career guidance for students.

What Happens in Our Sessions?

These sessions not only help with confidence-building for kids but also introduce them to new interests and talents, preparing them for a bright future.

Our School Partnerships.

Collaborating to Empower Communities

We’re proud to work hand-in-hand with schools across the region, offering tailored programmes that foster youth empowerment and create inclusive learning environments. Each partnership allows us to make a real difference, helping children develop their confidence, leadership, and practical skills.

Dyce Academy

Where it all began in 2018! Each week, we run a lunchtime club where senior pupils lead engaging, active learning sessions for younger peers. These seniors have built their way up, starting as participants in the same programme at a younger age, and now take on leadership roles. This progression builds their confidence, enhances their leadership skills, and gives them valuable experience in mentoring and guiding others.

Mile End Primary School

We were proud to support the additional support needs wing at Mile End, funding drumming sessions with Rhythm Box and trips to Lochter Activity Centre to spark creativity and teamwork.

Hanover Street Primary School

Starting in 2023, we’ve supported students through industry talks, career fairs, a summer trip to Dalguise, weekly skills workshops – all in place to help children broaden their horizons and develop practical life skills.

Kaimhill Primary School

Joining us in 2024, this partnership has focused on creating engaging educational experiences for children with additional needs, giving every child the opportunity to excel. For Kaimhill, we’ve supported careers fairs and helped fund their P7 residential trips over the past two years.

Mintlaw Academy

Since partnering with us in 2024, we’ve worked together to run programmess that empower children to explore their unique talents and grow in confidence.

Bridge of Don Academy

Our most recent venture, joining in 2024 is benefiting from weekly lunchtime clubs that promote active learning and skill development for students of all ages.

Together with these schools, we’re creating opportunities for children to grow, learn, and succeed.
