Lifestars is a local charity in Aberdeen that believes every child deserves the opportunity to shine.
Since our founding in 2018, we have been dedicated to providing special educational needs support for children of all ages across Aberdeen and the Shire.
At Lifestars, we focus on creating education for life, where children don’t just learn from textbooks but gain essential life skills that will serve them throughout their lives. We give children the tools to build resilience, overcome challenges, and develop the inner strength they need to flourish.

Our Vision
Our vision is to ensure every child in Northeast Scotland has the facility to grow to their greatest potential by fostering essential life and social skills through compassionate and engaging active learning experiences.
Our Mission
As an Aberdeen-based charity, we work with schools across Northeast Scotland, we aim to provide young people aged between 5 to 18 years with enriching, active learning experiences. Our ultimate goal is to help children build essential life and social skills including communication, trust, leadership, pride, and confidence - empowering them to flourish and contribute positively to their communities.

Our Story
Founded in 2018 by Neve McPherson, Lifestars began with a simple vision, to provide special educational needs support and help children develop coping skills for youth. Inspired by her own experiences, Neve created a space where children could thrive, not just academically, but personally, building skills for life.
Since then, we’ve partnered with schools including Dyce Academy and Mile End Primary, offering nonprofit education programmes to empower children to grow in confidence. We also provide a platform for older teens to lead skills programmes, passing on their knowledge and inspiring younger peers. By uniting businesses and schools, we create opportunities for children across Aberdeen and the Shire, helping build the skills and confidence to thrive in life.
Every donation goes directly to supporting our mission, ensuring 100% transparency and making a lasting impact on the children.

Our team is dedicated to helping children succeed and grow. Led by Neve McPherson, the founder of Lifestars, we are a passionate group committed to providing special educational needs support and helping children develop coping skills for youth.
Our volunteers play such an important role, offering their time, expertise, and hearts to inspire the children we are there for. Together, we create a community of support that helps children build confidence, overcome challenges, and become the best versions of themselves.
